Last updated: July 2026 · Beta / closed testing
SaltySwimTimes is in closed beta / closed testing. Access is limited to invited testers and partner cohorts. By creating an account or using the app you agree to this notice. Systems may still be reset or changed without full notice while we harden the product.
Swimmers under 18 require a parent or guardian account to approve access. Parents must verify their email before approving a child. Family accounts can review and approve media involving linked minors. Do not create a minor account without a responsible parent or guardian.
Beta data is used to run the product for testers, fix bugs, improve ingestion accuracy, and validate features (results, media, chat, nutrition, performance, and notifications). We do not sell personal data.
Uploaded photos and videos require approval by a coach, parent, or the athlete before they are visible to others. Do not upload content you do not have rights to share.
Media files may be stored on the application server and/or in object storage (for example Cloudflare R2). Access is controlled: playback and download go through authenticated app endpoints (or short-lived signed URLs after authorization). Storage is not a public open bucket.
When push notifications are enabled on a device, we may store a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device token linked to your account so we can send alerts (for example meet countdowns or coach/host messages) while the app is closed. You can disable notifications in the app or OS settings; tokens may be removed or stop being used when push is turned off or the device unregisters.
Performance views may show ranks, percentiles, and field context based on meet results. Other athletes in the field are shown anonymously unless you have an allowed link or relationship in the app (for example family, coach roster, or social connection). We do not expose full private performance detail of unlinked athletes.
Questions, privacy concerns, or account/data deletion requests during closed testing: contact the SaltySwimTimes team lead for your test cohort, or email the operator at the address used for your invite. We will process deletion requests for beta accounts as reasonably as system constraints allow during testing.
